Samburu MP tells off Raila over county funds
Member of Parliament for Samburu West, Lati Lelelit, has warned the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga, to restrain from disrespecting other leaders lest he fails in his August 8 poll agenda.
This comes after Maralal residents demonstrated against the opposition leader who has accused Samburu County leaders of misappropriation public funds during a recent tour of Baragoi and Maralal areas.
Odinga is said to have criticized political leaders from the region for misusing funds initially set for development by using them to acquire private property in Nairobi.
Samburu Governor, Moses Lenolkulal, said Jubilee deserves a second term to serve Kenyans especially after Richard Lesiyampe, one of the most respected Samburu leaders, was appointed a Principal Secretary, Naisula Lesuuda nominated as Senator and a ten-kilometer road in Maralal town tarmacked.
According to the rioting residents, the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) should stop mocking leaders who are rallying their own supporters, saying they will not elect leaders who do not respect other leaders.
