Samsung launches Galaxy Note 5 in Kenya; its superb!

Samsung electronics has partnered with telecommunications giant Safaricom to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 phone in Kenya.

The device represents both partners commitment to enhance the 4G internet drive and experience in the market.

The Galaxy Note 5’s design is inspired by the Galaxy S6, as it has a slimmer body and higher processing power to allow its users to multi task.

“The Samsung’s newly redesigned Galaxy Note 5 is a powerful productivity tool that can be employed for multiple tasks. It’s advanced display technology and better S Pen functionality enhances the user’s content experience,” said Samsung East Africa Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Robert Ngeru.

The device, which has a 5.7” Quad HD Super AMOLED screen, blends form and function with pioneering features, including the best screen technology, the most advanced camera for high quality photos and videos, the latest fast wireless and wired charging, and an incredibly powerful processor.

With increased 4GB RAM, the Galaxy Note 5 offers the most powerful capacity and processing power in the market, enabling users to enjoy more seamless multi-tasking, keep up with messages, post updates to social networks faster, and enjoy graphic-heavy games without suffering lag time.

“It is a great honor that Samsung has selected to have us be the first ones to stock the Samsung Note 5 smartphone in the Kenyan market. This is an illustration of the confidence that our partners have in our extensive distribution channels and our people who delight in offering excellent customer service at all times,” said Sylvia Mulinge, the Director Consumer Business Unit.

The new phone also comes with a stylus pen that one can use to jot notes even when the screen is off.

The all new 5th generation S Pen offers improved writing capabilities and a variety of practical tools. Users can now quickly jot down ideas or information when the screen is off without even unlocking the phone.  Users can also annotate on PDF files and capture lengthy web articles or long images at once via ‘Scroll capture.’

“We continue to integrate the S Pen with our devices because we know that our consumers love the option of a simple, intuitive, and flexible way to interact with our mobile devices. Users can access features faster and write with greater sensitivity and sharper precision,” said Ngeru.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will retail at all Safaricom stores at a recommended retail price of Ksh 84,999.
