School owning ‘killer’ bus to face action – NTSA, DPP

The school administration of St. Augustine Preparatory School in Mombasa will now face action after a pupil was crushed to death by the school’s bus.

This is after the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Keriako Tobiko, ordered for immediate probe into the incident which happened after the school’s bus seat caved in leading to the death of the pupil.

The National Transport and Safety (NTSA) Director General, Francis Meja, has also accused the school administration of negligence by failing to repair faulty parts of the bus.

In a statement, Meja says officials of St Augustine Preparatory School endangered the lives of pupils by failing to repair the school bus.
