School re-admits pupil suspended for ‘indiscipline’

A school in Embu East sub County was on Wednesday forced to re-admit a Standard Six pupil after allegedly suspending her for indiscipline.

The Standard Six girl was allegedly sent home by the deputy head teacher for failing to follow instructions and acting rudely.

According to the 13-year-old, the deputy head teacher severally accused her of stealing money and books from the school.

She accused the teacher of planting boys from the upper classes to harass her as she headed home.

The Mufu Primary School deputy head teacher, however, denied the claims and re-admitted the learner back to the institution after she promised to change her behaviour.

The girl’s grandmother, Eunice Muthanje, pleaded with the school administration saying that she had talked to the teenager who had since promised to observe school rules and remian disciplined in and out of the institution.
