Scores of partying Moi University students arrested

More than 90 students from Moi Eldoret university are being detained by the police after they were arrested partying in a pub operating without a license.

According to the Moi University students council secretary  Moses Tisa, the police stormed the pub at 4am in the morning and arrested the students together with other students from other universities in Eldoret whom he says did not alert the police of their plan to hold celebrations at the pub.

Tisa is now demanding for the release of the students saying they were not aware that the pub was operating illegally.
