Speaking during a funds-drive in aid of women groups at Ikolomani Constituency in Kakamega County on Sunday, Mr Ruto said that issues of security and the war against terrorism require the support of all Kenyans.

"It is our collective responsibility as Kenyans to participate in the war against insecurity. Let us stop blame games and work together in addressing security challenges facing the country," said Mr Ruto.

“We are going to use every resource and equipment to ensure security for all Kenyans,” said Mr Ruto.

The deputy president was accompanied by among others MPs Ben Washiali (Mumias East, Bernard Shinali (Ikolomani), Emmanuel Wangwe (Navokholo), Charles Kimose (Hamisi), Malulu Injendi (Malava), John Bunyasi (Nambale), David were (Matungu), Yusuf Chanzu (Vihiga), Dan Wanyama (Webuye West), Senator Bonny Khalwale (Kakamega) and Governor Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega).
