Senate postpones grilling over Ksh5bn theft at health ministry
Senate health committee postpones grilling of health CS, PS
The Senate Health Committee has postponed grilling of Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu and his PS Nicholas Muraguri over the alleged theft of Ksh5 billion in the Ministry of Health.
The grilling has been pushed to Tuesday next week after it was reported that Mailu and Muraguri are engaged in crisis meeting at Afya House probing the saga.
Speaking during the session of the Committee, Senators led by Senate Minority leader Moses Wetangula asked the president to request Mailu and Muraguri to step aside to pave way for investigations on the saga.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee and the Public Investments Committee will also begin interrogating the Ksh5 Billion theft at the Ministry of Health.
PAC Chair Nicholas Gumbo said the committee has already demanded the documents from the ministry.
