Senator ditches Raila’s ODM for ‘smaller’ party
Migori Senator, Wilfred Machage, has ditched the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for the Democratic Party.
Machage was received at his new political home by DP Party Leader, Joseph Munyao, after a fall-out with the leadership of the Orange party.

The Senator says he will not defend his seat and will instead contest for the Kuria West Parliamentary seat.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party says it is not affiliated to any coalition and that it will soon make its stand known.
The party says it will field candidates at the grassroots level and will continue receiving defectors from other political parties before the deadline lapses on March 9, 2017.
