Some seven months ago Chepkukur Primary School in Mt. Elgon Cheptais district hit news headlines all for the wrong reasons. Eighteen girls in the school were confirmed pregnant around the same time and because of this the girls were on the verge of dropping out of school. Deputy President William Ruto went to their rescue, giving the school one million shillings to build a rescue center for the soon to be young mothers. The money was reportedly handed to the area MP John Serut. Now, five months later and the question from parents, school management and the local administration is, where is half of the money donated by the Deputy President Ruto?
