Seven people injured in grisly Embu road accident

Seven people including students were injured after a grisly road accident along the Embu-Meru highway on Friday .

Two matatus crashed and rolled several times at the Gikuurii Trading Center.

Witnesses said one of the vehicles rammed into the other from behind after its breaks failed.

The matatus were both headed to Meru when the incident occurred and they veered off the road.

Those injured were rushed to Runyenjes Level Five and Tenri Mission hospitals in Embu County.

They also assisted police in recovering the vehicles from the ditch after which they were towed to Runyenjes Police Station.

Curious onlookers quickly gathered to see what had caused the commotion.
