Seven terror suspects remanded for 10 days

Four Somali refugees, one Burundian refugee and two Kenyan nationals suspected of facilitating terrorism activities within refugee camps in the country have been detained for ten days.

While delivering his ruling, Resident Magistrate Elector Riany allowed police more time to complete investigations into the matter before it comes up for hearing.

The seven are also believed to be involved in the logistical planning and in constant communication with persons believed to be Al Shabaab adherents in the country.

The suspects were arrested on August 21 at the Dadaab Refugee Camp in Garissa County.

The matter will be mentioned on September 2, 2016.
