Shabaab suspects arrested in Isiolo
Four men, alleged to be members of the Al Shabaab terror group, have been arrested in Isiolo County while trying to flee to Mogadishu, Somalia.
The four suspects, all middle aged men, could not speak fluent English during interrogation by police officers.
“None of them could respond to our probing, none. They just spoke in Amharic,” said Isiolo Deputy Commissioner, Kipchumba Ruto.
The police claim the Al Shabaab suspects had no license of the car they were using, neither did they have official identification documents.
“They even did not have IDs, or even a license. We suspect they were up to something,” said the deputy commissioner.
