Share the Citizen News app and stand a chance to win amazing prizes

Current users of the Citizen News mobile app now stand a chance of winning amazing prizes such as smartphones, airtime and mobile data for simply inviting their friends to download the Citizen News App.

The promo dubbed, Share App na Ushinde, targets to reward users of ‘Citizen News’ app for successfully inviting their friends to download and use the app.

Before participating in the competition, users are required to download or update their app to the latest Version with “Share App” button integrated.

To invite or refer their friends, a user will be required to login in the app for accurate determination of successful referrals. Once logged in, he/she can invite friends by clicking on ‘Share App’ from the drop-down menu at the top left corner of the screen as demonstrated below.

The referring users will be awarded points for each successful referral and enrolled to a weekly draw where the user with the most referrals for that week is rewarded with giveaways.

We will have a total of six winners every week: winner 1 will be awarded with a Smartphone + appearance on Citizen TV #Powerbreakfast show while the other 5 winners will be awarded mobile data of at least 3GB each or Airtime equivalent to Ksh 1000/=

According to the Department’s head, Samuel Kibacia, the campaign presents a win-win situation for both users and the company with more users getting access to an array of rich content straight from their mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) while at the same time winning great prizes for inviting their friends too to use the app.

“The app referral campaign gives our audience an opportunity to share the app with their friends and win amazing prizes while at the same time keeping them updated with the latest breaking news and events around them. So share the app and stand a chance to win all those great prizes,” said Kibacia.
