Shebesh Files An Application To Stop Her Arrest

The legislator has filed an application to stop the impending arrest over the scuffle she had with Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero.

The application will be heard before Justice David Majanja tomorrow, Thursday for directions.

Shebesh and Kidero are to face prosecution after the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko approved the report of investigations over the assault incident that occurred at City Hall last year

She filed the application through her lawyer Cecil Miller.

The Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero moved to court on Monday and made a similar application in which he sought protection against possible arrest and prosecution after he and Shebesh failed to resolve the matter out of court.

Kidero's case as well as Shebesh will come up tomorrow, Thursday in court.

Talks between Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero and Shebesh collapsed after Kidero allegedly refused to give a cash payout as a means of reconciliation.

The two parties had been given a week to settle the matter out of court by Justice Isaack Lenaola in a case filed following the scandal that ensued at the Governor’s office on September 6th.
