Shebesh Rejects Talks With Kidero

Shebesh’s decision comes even as the High Court through a ruling by Justice Isaac Lenaola on Friday gave the two aggrieved parties seven days to reconcile.

The High Court had earlier ordered both parties to enter into dialogue and reconciliation within seven days over the September assault saga, or face charges.

Justice Lenaola issued the order after a petitioner moved to court to block the governor’s intended prosecution by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko.

Shebesh has however rejected the court order to reconcile with the Nairobi Governor.

On the other hand Kidero’s lawyer Evans Ondieki says reconciliation efforts are still on track.

Shebesh through her lawyer Cecil Miller has said that she is ready to face alleged charges of creating disturbance during an altercation with Kidero at City Hall where the Governor slapped her.

“Shebesh is ready to proceed with the assault case against Kidero, all her witnesses are intact contrary to speculation,” Miller said.

According to Kidero’s lawyer Evans Ondieki, they will on Monday deliver a written letter to the Shebesh’s lawyer that calls for a meeting to discuss the case
