Shock as body of male, 45, dumped by roadside in Kirinyaga

Body of a 45-year-old man was found dumped at Riamugaa village in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County by unknown persons on Wednesday evening near the Sagana-Karatina junction road.

According to Nyumba Kumi Chairman Geoffrey Wanjohi, the body was dumped by a Probox vehicle and had both hands and legs tied up.

“We don’t know where the man came from,” he said.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Anglican Church pastor Samuel Kanjobe stated that the man could have been murdered elsewhere and dumped at the junction.

Police said they recovered the deceased’s phone with him and contacted his wife to identify the body.

The deceased’s wife told Citizen Digital that her late husband left home in the morning to find hay for their cattle.

Police have launched investigations into the mysterious death as they await postmortem results from Karatina Mortuary.
