Shock as Imam mysteriously killed in Tana River

An Imam at a mosque in Hola Prison, Tana River County, was on Sunday night found dead with a stab wound in his chest at Masalani area in Garissa County.

Abdikadir Ahmed Abdi was last seen at home at about 11pm when he reportedly received a phone call then left with his car.

Confirming the incident, Hola prison boss, Samwel Chepkonga, said the body of the deceased was found in the car by passers-by.

Chepkonga, however, pointed out that the assailants did not steal anything from the Imam as his belongings, including his phone, were found intact.

Police have launched investigations into the incident.
