Shock as man defiles step-daughter as mother sleeps

A 12-year-old girl is recuperating at the JM Kariuki Memorial hospital in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County from injuries she sustained after she was defiled by her 40-year-old stepfather.

The incident that happened on Sunday night when the mother was asleep has left residents of Mukindu village in Rurii Ward in shock.

Nyandarua Central OCPD, Wilson Kosgei, confirmed the incident saying that the father dragged her outside where he defiled her repeatedly.

“The man, identified as Billy Ngugi, dragged the minor outside as his wife was deep asleep, took her behind their kitchen where he committed the heinous act.”

He said the girl’s mother spotted some blood inside the toilet and on enquiring from her two children, the girl revealed what had transpired at night.

The distraught mother then she reported that matter at the Ol-Kalou Police station.

“The girl has confessed to have been defiled again last week and the man warned her not to disclose this to her mother. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone,” he noted.

Police have since arrested the father who is now being held at Ol Kalou Police Station.

Speaking to the press at the hospital, the mother noted that the man had denied the allegations, but her daughter insisted that it was the man who defiled her.

She wondered why the father would turn on the girl when she was asleep.

She narrated how she looked for her husband on the bed, but when she went to check him out, she found him with a towel standing under the moonlight.

At the time, her daughter had returned to the house and pretended to be deep asleep since she had been warned against revealing to anyone what had transpired.

“This is a curse and I want the law to take its course. Let the courts decide his fate as I would not like to live with him again,” she said.

The police boss said that the suspect would be arraigned in court once investigations were over.
