Shocking video shows armed cop brutalising unarmed man

A shocking video has surfaced showing an armed police officer choking and stomping on a man lying on the ground with his hands in the air.

The one-minute, 36 seconds video, which Citizen Digital cannot authenticate, shows the officer with his left boot on the victim’s neck as he grabs the man’s left hand.

The disturbing video starts with the officer standing on the man with one boot on his neck while the other kicks him on the head repeatedly.

After relentless beating, the suspect then turns and lies on his tummy but this does not stop the assault as the officer proceeds to stand on his back while repeatedly kicking him at the back of his neck.

It does not stop there, the brutal cop then literally stands on the man’s head with his both legs pinning his face on the concrete before the victim rolls under a car while gesturing to the officer.

Two people show up to find out what is going on but this does little to stop the assault. The video has drawn sharp reactions from Kenyans online demanding for the arrest of the officer.

The National Police Service released a statement saying they have launched investigations.

“Our attention has been drawn to a video clip circulating in the social media of a Police officer allegedly assaulting an individual. We do not approve of it,” they tweeted.

The force has also indicated that if proven to be legitimate, the officer in question shall be reprimanded accordingly.

In the video, a police officer is seen assaulting an unknown individual who is lying on the ground.

In a seemingly unnecessary use of excessive force, the officer is seen reining blows on the individual on the head and later steps on his neck all the while holding a gun on his hand.

The individual is seen to plead but the officer relentlessly continues to stamp on the individual’s head.

Before the video ends, we see the officer’s action drawing attention from members of the public.
