Shun tribalism, Raila Odinga tells Kenyans

Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga has called on Kenyans to shun tribalism and enhance co-existence for the prosperity of the nation.

Speaking at Segero SDA church in Uasin Gishu County Raila said during this electioneering period Kenyans should accommodate each other saying many problems afflicting the Nation are due to tribalism.

“If we remain united, we are going to be able to build the country. Our founder wanted God to guard tis country, that we stay in unity, peace and liberty, plenty be found within our borders,” said Odinga.

This comes as Odinga defended his statements in Narok Friday where he said that Masaai people walk around with their sticks and spears as they demand for the exit of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners.

Odinga said that Masaai people walk around with their sticks and spears not to harm anyone but as a symbol of leadership.

He also refuted claims that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is going to general election as a single party.
