Siaya MCA lashes at Duale for attacking Raila

An MCA from Siaya County has sent a warning to the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale to stop his persistent attacks on Cord Leader Raila Odinga.

Central Gem MCA Fred Ouda said Duale has formed a habit of hitting at the Cord Leader on national issues, adding that Raila is not Duale’s equal thus he should let President Kenyatta or Deputy President William Ruto address him.

Speaking at a press conference in Kisumu on Monday, Ouda added that Odinga is a national leader and Duale should respect that.

He noted that Odinga has the right to put the Jubilee Government in check, given that there are numerous scandals that have bedeviled the government.

Ouda accused the Jubilee Government of trying to divert the attention of Kenyans on various issues affecting the common mwananchi.

Ouda urged other Cord Members of Parliament to come out and defend the Cord leader against such unwarranted attacks by the Jubilee Administration.

In June this year, the MCA caused a stir when he stripped naked in a press conference to protest at a tweet that was deemed offensive to Cord Leader Raila Odinga.

The tweet was posted by a parody twitter account, @WilliamRutoh, and criticized youths in Mr Odinga’s turf of Kibera who burnt projects by the National Youth Service (NYS).

“Let them go back to the flying toilets, you cannot stop a fly from following a corpse to the grave,” read the tweet.

The deputy president later verified that his twitter page is @WilliamsRuto.

Ouda noted that in one of the ongoing prayer rallies in Kericho, Duale misled Kenyans by saying that he has letters written by Mumias Sugar lawyers to the former Prime Minister asking his companies to pay the more than Ksh100 million they owe the factory.

Duale later declined to issue an apology over his utterances.
