Siaya Stadium To be Upgraded to International Standards, Says Governor

The governor revealed that plans are underway to make it a state-of-the-art facility, adding that a designer has already been appointed to draw a plan for its refurbishment to a modern sports facility.

In addition to establishing various pitches for different sports activities, the old pavilion on the county stadium will be removed and a proper one erected.

The governor expressed optimism that upon completion, the stadium will be able to comfortably host premier league teams such as Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards among others.   

Rasanga was speaking when he hosted the Gor Mahia football club at his Segere home in Alego, Usonga constituency where he donated Sh600,000 to support the team.
