Six admitted with Anthrax in Muranga

Six people from Ichagaki, Gikomora and Kamira villages in Murang’a have been hospitalized after contracting Anthrax disease after they are reported to have eaten meat that had not been inspected.

The six are currently receiving treatment at Gikomoro Hospital while the doctors from Maragua Hospital head to the villages to assess the situation.

Following the anthrax reports, residents of Murang’a County are being advised to be cautious and not consume meat that has not been inspected to avoid contracting the disease.
