Six In Court Over MPs Murder

According to the prosecution, the six, among them two women, may be tried for robbery with violence.

The six were remanded for 22 days at Central Police Station as police furthers investigations into the incident.

Police said the suspects are believed to be hardcore criminals who were on a robbery spree around the city.

A total of seven suspects are now in police custody. This includes a man who was being investigated in connection with the same incident last week.

The seventh susspect identified as Simon Wambugu Gichamba was detained for 14 days to help police with investigations.

Gichamba is expected back in court on February 27th, 2015, while the other six will be arraigned in court on March 10th, 2015.

Meanwhile, the High Court has restrained Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi and 3 other Members of Parliament, among them Moses Kuria, from associating COTU with the murder of Mr. Muchai.
