Six killed, 8 injured in Nakuru-Nyahururu Road accident

Six people have died and eight others injured after a 14-seater matatu collided with a lorry at Ndudori area on the Nakuru-Nyahururu Road.

According to eye witnesses, the matatu and truck, which were moving in opposite directions, collided at a sharp bend with a steep descent.

As the two vehicles were moving past each other, the lorry hit the matatu on the driver’s side causing it to veer off the road.

The incident was confirmed by Bahati OCPD Edward Wafula Masimbo.

The injured were rushed to the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital while the bodies were moved to the mortuary at the same health facility.

The vehicles were towed to Nakuru Central Police Station.
