Six killed in Meru grisly crash

Six people have been confirmed dead and others injured following a grisly road accident at Kinyaritha area on the Meru-Mikinduri road.

According to Imenti North OCPD Sammy Koskey, the crash, involving a pickup and a Probox occurred after the latter, traveling from Mikinduri to Meru, attempted to overtake a lorry and collided head-on with the oncoming car.

The number of passengers in the Probox remains unknown but an eyewitness said the car had more than 10 people.

The bodies have been moved to the Meru Level Five hospital mortuary.
