Six Killed, Scores Missing after Bandits Attack Turkana Village

The bandits managed to steal several heads of cattle after attack before fleeing the area.

Katilu ward MCA James Abei has confirmed the incident saying some villagers are still missing after the attack. 

The attack has spread fear in the area, with residents saying they do not feel free to walk in search of water and firewood for fear of being attacked by the bandits.

Residents of Kapedo in Turkana East Sub-County are living in fear due to continuous bandit attacks that have claimed lives and are now calling on the national government to help restore order.

Previously, former Police boss David Kimaiyo had issued a shoot-to-kill order on armed bandits in pastoral regions.
