Slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno was laid to rest at her grandfather’s home in Magare Village, Kanyabala location on Friday October 19, 2018.

Top political leaders among them NASA leader Raila Odinga were expected to be in attendance.

The mutilated body of Sharon Otieno was found at Kodera forest on September 5, 2018.

Meanwhile, Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his co-accused Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero remain in remand prison until October 24 when the court will rule on their bail application.

Earlier, Sharon’s family had indicated that she would not be laid to rest until her killers were prosecuted.
