A dining center has already been set up in K’Ogelo in readiness for former US President Barack Obama’s arrival.

Obama, who arrives in Kenya today, is expected to launch a project in his father’s ancestral home in Siaya County on Monday.

In a press release, the Gina Din Group that is handling the Siaya event said Obama will be the guest of honour at the launch of his sister Dr. Auma Obama’s Sports facility in Nyangoma, Siaya.

Obama, as well as a section of top delegates set to accompany him, are said to have been reserved a posh dining area at the facility.

Reports indicate that the former US President will enjoy a delicacy of Ugali and Fish; a staple food among the Luo community, from where his background is rooted.

He is scheduled to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, before embarking on a trip to South Africa the next day.
