Somalia’s PM Voted Out!

The parliament voted on Saturday to oust Sheikh Ahmed who had quarrels with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

The Prime Minister Ahmed received support from only 80 lawmakers while 153 backed the motion to oust him.

Ahmed's government has been struggling to provide security in the country amid periodic attacks launched by the armed group Al-Shabaab.

He has been at loggerheads with President Mohamud for months hence international institutions warned that the infighting was putting the war scarred nation at risk.

President Mohamud has 30 days to appoint a new Prime Minister.
