Son kills father after drinking spree

A 63-year-old-man from Mikuu village in Tharaka Nithi died after he was stabbed to death by his son.

According to Maara OCPD Johnstone Kabusia, the deceased, Gilbert Kiraithe and his son Evans Mwenda are reported to have returned home from a drinking den when a quarrel ensued between them.

It was during the quarrel that Mwenda turned on his father stabbing him to death.

The accused was arrested and is being held at Ntumu police station awaiting to be arraigned at the Chuka law courts.

The body of the deceased was moved to Chuka referral mortuary.
