Sorrow as man, 76, gored to death by bull
A 76-year-old man died on Wednesday after he was gored by his bull at Bande Village in Nyatike, Migori County.
According to Nyatike OCPD Dishon Chebaka, the deceased, Shadrack Mayoya, was gored by the bull while passing near it at his home.
Chebaka said that the bull that was not dehorned lurched at him and seriously injured him on the ribs and back, adding that the farmer succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Elsewhere, seven roadside food vendors were on Wednesday arrested in Isiolo after they violated a ban on food hawking that had been issued to curb the spread of cholera.
According to the head of public health in Isiolo, Michael Wanjau, the seven were selling eggs, porridge and beans in an unhealthy environment.
