Sossion drums up support for NASA

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General, Wilson Sossion, has urged teachers to vote for NASA in the August polls.

Speaking at the KNUT meeting in Kisii, Sossion berated Jubilee’s blueprint contending it does not have a noteworthy plan for teachers.

He commended NASA’s manifesto for having a good policy implementation and framework for teachers.

“We need trusted leaders and a government that respects the labour movement in this country,” said Sossion.

Sossion, who has been slotted for nomination in the 12th Parliament on an ODM ticket, stated that teachers should not be barred from participating in politics either through contesting or voting.

However, early July, 2017 KNUT officials from Central Kenya led by chairman Samuel Muiruri and Secretary Clement Gicharu condemned Sossion for using his top job in KNUT to advance his political aspirations.

Regardless, Sossion has solicited teachers to turn up in large numbers in August 8, and vote for NASA.
