Sossions woes deepen as unidentified men block him from accessing KNUT offices

Embattled Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) boss Wilson Sossion was on Monday morning barred from accessing his office in the union headquarters.

This comes even after he won a court case that sought to bar the Registrar of Trade Unions from deregistering him as Secretary General.

Sossion was locked out of the offices by unknown individuals who refused to grant him audience.

Acting Secretary General Hesbon Otieno and acting Chairman Wycliffe Omucheyi have maintained their stand that they would not allow Sossion to serve in the union citing his nomination to Parliament as the main reason.

The nominated Member of Parliament even went ahead to read to them the court order which retained him in capacity as the union Secretary General and denied anyone from attempting to oust him or block his access to the office, albeit to no success.

At some point during the confrontation, Sossion is heard asking the individuals if they are aware of his court order to which one of them replies in the negative.

On questioning their identity, the men claimed to be employees of a security agency hired to protect the union offices but refused to divulge the name of the agency.
