Spanish woman arrested at JKIA with ivory bangle

A Spanish national was Monday morning arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for allegedly being in possession of an ivory bangle.

The 50-year-old woman identified as Pich-Aguilera Maria was traveling from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam.

Confirming the arrest, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) said the woman is expected to be arraigned at the JKIA Law Court.

The ivory bangle reportedly weighed 0.025g.
