Speed up National Super Alliance talks, Opposition told

Opposition leaders have been asked to speed up the process of forming the much anticipated National Super Alliance (NASA), to kick-start the journey of sending the Jubilee government home.

Speaking on Saturday November 6 at a fundraising for a women group in Bondo Consistency, Coalitions for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) politician Dr. Mark Matunga urged Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula together with Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi to finalize the talks to ensure victory in 2017 General Election.

“The Jubilee administration has messed up this country to an extent that they cannot be trusted with leading this nation anymore. As things stand currently, no single party can win a presidential election hence the need to speed up the unity process,” he said.

At the same time, Mutunga asked the other three leaders to throw their weight behind Raila Odinga, saying he was best placed to carry the National Super Alliance to victory in 2017.

“Raila is the only person who can effectively battle out and defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 presidential race,” he said.

Mr. Sammy Wakiaga, who was the guest of honor, encouraged locals to acquire ID cards and register as voters as these numbers would enable them to win the next polls.

“Nyanza would get a better share of the National cake if the residents register in big numbers to ascertain why they should have more resources,” he said.

Also in attendance was Siaya Deputy Governor Wilson Ouma Onyango, Siaya County MP Dr. Christine Ombaka, Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda and nominated MP Dr. Oburu Oginga among others.
