Sayaa also intimated that the drought challenge hits the area every year despite the government putting up measures to curb such situations in other parts of the country.

Ganze MCA Daniel Mangi also echoed Sayaa’s sentiments, adding that drought in the area is a result of lack of sufficient rainfall to sustain the crops.

Mangi added that stray elephants have also played a role in the shortage of food as they keep destroying crops.
