State House retracts statement on Uhurus changes to Health ministry
State House has retracted an earlier statement notifying the public of changes President Uhuru Kenyatta made to the Ministry of Health.
State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo, in the initial statement to newsrooms on Wednesday evening, said the reshuffle was aimed at strengthening the management of the Ministry of Health.
The following were the said changes which were supposed to take effect immediately:
- Dr. Francis Owino to be Principal Secretary for Public Health;
- Ms. Susan Mochache to be Principal Secretary for Medical Services;
- Mr. Peter Kinuthia Thuku to be Principal Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Health;
- Amb. Johnson Weru to be Principal Secretary, Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development.
In her second statement, however, she stated:
“We would like to retract an earlier communication on the management changes at the Ministry of Health and that of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development.
Fresh communication on the subject matter will be issued in due course.”
