Statement by Royal Media Services Limited on the Auditor General’s report

The attention of Royal Media Services Limited has been drawn to the report of the Auditor General dated 25^th May 2015 with specific reference to the financial expenses of Siaya County Executive from 1^st July 2013 to 30^th June 2014.

The report alleges that on February 18, last year, Royal Media Services received from the Siaya County Government Ksh 2,320,000 being payment  for supply of furniture.

Royal media Services wishes to clarify that whereas it is true the quoted amounts were paid to the company, the payment was not for supply of furniture as claimed by the Auditors report.

The correct position is that the payment was for media services for an event to unveil tractors by the Siaya County Governor.

Royal Media Services Limited is not and has never been engaged in the business of selling furniture. The onus is on the Auditor General to correct the false and misleading information in his report.
