‘Stay at home or dance with us,’ Ghana’s dancing pallbearers raise Covid-19 awareness

Ghana’s dancing pallbearers have taken it upon themselves to use their newfound fame amid the Covid-19 pandemic to spread awareness on the disease.

Their message, however, may serve to send only the same chills down the spines of their audience that their dances are synonymous with.

The Benjamin Aidoo-led group, in a short Instagram video, urged citizens across various coronavirus-hit nations to either “stay at home or dance with us.”

The video has attracted a flurry of reactions from various Instagram users, with most of them vowing to remain indoors due to the satire embedded in the message.

The pallbearers further expressed gratitude to medical professionals working round the clock to rid the world of the virus.

“Hello everyone. We, Nana Otafrija Pallbearers want to thank all the doctors in the world you’re working hard in taking care of everyone,” they said.

“But remember, stay at home…or dance with us.”
