Stolen SGR materials found in MCA’s home

Police have recovered stolen Standard Gauge Raiway (SGR) materials from the home of a Member of County Assembly (MCA).

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), several rolls of geogrid worth over Ksh.1 million were found at the home of Mr. Martin Matu, the MCA for Naromoru.

The material had reportedly been stolen from the SGR yard in Nairobi.

The MCA is set to appear at the DCI offices on Monday for grilling before he is arraigned.

“The MCA instructed to report to DCI Railways on Monday,” said the DCI on Sunday morning.
