Stop attacking Oburu Odinga – Homa Bay leaders told

Siaya County Deputy Governor, Wilson Ouma Onyango, has launched a scathing attack at a section of leaders from Homa Bay who have recently criticized nominated Member of Parliament, Dr Oburu Odinga, for allegedly interfering with Homa Bay politics.

Oburu Odinga endorsed the re-election of John Mbadi as Gwasi MP earlier last week, a move that has not been taken well by some leaders and their supporters who feel that he should keep off Homa Bay County politics.

The Deputy Governor, who was speaking in Bondo during a campaign rally, said that it has become a habit for some Nyanza region leaders to attack the NASA co-principal Raila Odinga’s brother.

“Most political leaders in Nyanza have developed a tendency of demonizing Dr Oburu and accusing him of interfering with the region’s politics during every electioneering period, this is very unfair,” lamented the Deputy Governor.

According to the Deputy Governor, Dr Oburu was invited by Mbadi, who is also the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Chairman, as a friend and that he is entitled to his opinion just like anyone else.
