Stop politicising Baringo County health issues- Cheboi

Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi has told a section of political leaders in the county to desist from politicizing health issues.

This comes after some leaders claimed Ksh38 million of medical equipment is lying unused at Kabarnet County Hospital since last year as the county wanted the machines ‘commissioned’ – a delay that the leaders claimed is politically motivated.

The disgruntled Baringo County leaders claimed that the County’s leadership wanted President Uhuru Kenyatta to officially launch the medical equipment – allegations that Cheboi has vehemently denied.

Cheboi has also denied claims that he ordered the hospital not to use the machines.

He explained that installation of the equipment was on going, and will be ready for utilization by patients in the next two weeks.

The governor has asked residents to dismiss such claims, terming them as mere propaganda.
