Stop threatening us, MP tells Nkaissery

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has rubbished calls by Interior CS Joseph Nkaisery that  leaders who staged a demon in Eldoret protesting the appointment of Moi University Chancellor PROF. Laban Ayiro be investigated, saying they are ready to defend themselves in court.

Speaking in Eldoret, Sudi said the move was not tribal, noting that the CS should stop issuing threats and instead follow the law .

“Some people mistook us for being tribalistic. We are not tribalists and Nkaissery should stop threatening us with court action because we have done nothing wrong. If he wants to take us to court we are ready to defend ourselves,” he said.

Nkaisserry had directed the National Cohesion and Intergration Commission to probe Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago and his Elgeyo Marakwet Counterpart Alex Toglos over incitement.

The CS wants the Francis Ole Kaparo led commission to investigate the two over utterances and action that is alleged to be inciteful.

The duo stormed Moi University in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County last week to stop the newly appointed acting Vice Chancellor Professor Laban Ayiro from taking over.

They rejected Ayiro’s appointment demanding that Professor Isaac Kosgey takes over leadership at the university.
