Strategise well or abandon presidential ambitions, KANU leaders tell Gideon Moi

A section of KANU leaders from Baringo County have asked Senator Gideon Moi to carefully plan his presidential bid strategy or leave the race altogether.

Led by Tiaty MP William Kamket, the leaders urged the Baringo Senator to officially declare his intentions to contest the top seat so they can hit the ground running with campaigns.

Kamket further stated that 2022 politics officially began when opposition leader Raila Odinga shook hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta and later retired President Daniel Arap Moi.

“To those who have been running around like headless chicken, I want to inform them that 2022 politics has officially begun. As the people of Rift Valley, we have already commenced plans to bring the presidential seat back to Baringo,” said Kamket.

Churo-Amaya Ward MCA Selemoi Amaja, who also doubles up as the Baringo County Assembly deputy Speaker, said: “We want to ask our chairman, Gideon Moi, to come up with a gold strategy… not a gambling strategy. We do not want a strategy that will embarrass us, we want a strategy that will take us to State House.”

“If he cannot then let him abandon this State House business,” he added.
