Stray bullet kills protester in Nyandarua political demos

One person has died in Kinangop, Nyandarua County after he was shot during protests following the issuance of Jubilee nomination certificate to incumbent Woman Representative, Wanjiku Muhia.

The protesters, who are supporters of Nyandarua Woman Representative aspirant, Faith Gitau, took to the streets and barricaded roads at Magumu Fly Over demanding nullification of the Jubilee nomination certificate issued to Ms Muhia.

Police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the protesters leading to the injury of two protesters who were caught by stray bullets.

The two were rushed to Kijabe Mission Hospital in Kikuyu but one died while receiving treatment.
