Student killed by colleague as love goes sour

A fourth year student at Moi University was stabbed to death by his first year colleague at a hostel in Pioneer estate, Eldoret over a love triangle.

According to fellow students, the first year student was drunk and got agitated when he found the fourth year student sited on his girlfriend’s bed, something that resulted to a heated argument causing him to draw an knife and stab the ‘senior’ student.

Area Deputy OCPD Isa Manja confirmed the incident saying the suspect was arrested and will be arraigned in court.

“The deceased was a fourth year student who died while being rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. It is alleged the fight between  the two students was over a first year girl student,” said Manka.
