Students from Matungulu Boys who were tired of books return to school

Some of the KCSE candidates of Matungulu Boys High School in Kangundo Sub who stormed out of the institution began to return on Friday.

Reports indicate that the 88 candidates walked out of the institution claiming that they wanted their freedom and rights respected.

However, the principal warned that they would face disciplinary action 1for disrupting the school session.

He blamed the unrest on drugs and substance abuse by a section of the students, which he said is not tolerated at the institution.

The principal added that the school diet, which was one of the students’ grievances, had been approved by the area sub county public health office.

He explained that the school’s priority is to ensure that all candidates resume normal learning in preparation for the national examinations expected in March next year.

On Thursday, 88 students stormed out of the school complaining that they were tired of books.
