Students kill teacher after he refused to buy them alcohol

Police in Nyakach have arrested two secondary school students and a university student over a Wednesday night murder of a secondary school teacher.

According to Koguta East sub-location Assistant Chief Walter Oguche, the three had a disagreement with the deceased – identified as Manasse Ong’ole – at a local bar in Nyamaroka market centre.

Chief Oguche stated that the students, who are currently being held at Pap Onditi Police Station, demanded to be bought for alcohol by the teacher who declined.

The area administrator further stated the students were angered when the teacher declined and trailed him from the bar before attacking him.

The body of the deceased was found with deep cuts on the face and was transferred to Nyabondo sub county hospital mortuary.

Mr. Ong’ole was a teacher at Guu Secondary School in Nyakach, Kisumu County.
