Suit Against Equity Money Transfer

Equity Bank’s plans to venture into the provision of mobile phone services in July are now facing the risk of being ruined by a petition that has been filed by the consumer federation of Kenya. COFEK has jointly sued the communications authority of Kenya and the attorney general for licensing equity bank’s subsidiary – Finserve Africa limited, and two other operators without due regard to the requirements of the constitution of Kenya.
